Followrs

A free storefront that lets creators sell their work straight from a bio link.

Followrs turns a bio link into a small shop. You claim a handle, you get a page at followrs.store/yourname, and every product you sell gets a page of its own: images, a description, a Stripe checkout button, and instant delivery of the file once someone pays. Email capture is built in, so a sale or a free download quietly becomes a subscriber. We built a store end to end in an evening, stopping just short of taking real money through it, and nothing in the flow surprised us. That is a compliment.

It exists because of an arithmetic anyone selling their first digital product already knows. You have one PDF. The usual tools ask around thirty dollars a month to sell it, and several take a percentage on top. Sell three copies at nineteen dollars and the tool has taken most of your month before you have taken anything. Incumbents price you for the creator you hope to become, not the one you are today. Followrs charges nothing and takes nothing. The only money that leaves a sale is Stripe’s own 2.9% plus 30 cents, and that goes to Stripe.

Price is the hook, but the better idea is the shape. Most link-in-bio tools give you buttons, and a button is a departure lounge: it sends your reader somewhere else to buy. Followrs bets the bio link should be the store itself, a hub with real product pages hanging off it, built to open fast inside the in-app browser where your buyer already is. The distance between “I want this” and “I bought this” is where creator sales die, and this closes it. Starting narrow, on Threads, where Stan and Beacons are not native and the founder already has an audience, is the same discipline applied to distribution.

Here is the part the marketing does not say out loud: almost nothing in Followrs actually requires Threads. The company’s own pages boast that stores load instantly inside Instagram and TikTok, and it already has landing pages for creators on X. Underneath the positioning sit a URL, a product page, and a Stripe checkout. If your audience lives on Instagram, that is good news, because you can use this today. For Followrs it is the honest version of the risk: Threads is a beachhead, not a moat. What is hard to copy is the founder. Ant Mancini builds in public, and the testimonials on his own homepage all say the same thing, which is that people left Stan Store because he was in their replies taking feature requests.

So how does free survive? Not on goodwill, which was our assumption before we looked properly. Followrs has shipped the answer: a Pro tier you can buy today, custom domains behind it, and a stated bet that ninety-nine percent of creators will never pay a cent while the other one percent funds them. The model is coherent. The problem is the size of the number it is applied to. The homepage counter, refreshingly honest, reports about 150 creators and under two thousand dollars in total sales across the entire platform. One percent of that is not a business yet. Our own signup is one of those creators, and it appeared on the homepage ticker by first name within the hour, which tells you how early this is.

It feels premium and it is genuinely easy to use, but the substructure is still setting. Store Assistant is on the way rather than here. Booking is “integration ready,” a phrase doing a lot of work for a feature that has not arrived. The dashboard rearranges itself between visits. This is the ordinary weather of building in public, but it does mean you are furnishing a house while the floor plan is being redrawn.

Our take: if you have one thing to sell and no budget, this is a straightforward yes, whether your audience is on Threads or not. Set it up in an evening and keep every dollar. Watch how the Pro tier lands, because that is the number that decides whether this is still here in two years, and export your email list as you grow. That list is the asset you would want either way.

What's good

  • Actually free: unlimited products, email capture, and no platform fee
  • Full product pages with checkout and instant digital delivery, not a row of link buttons
  • The founder sits in his users' replies and ships on their feedback, which is the closest thing here to a moat

What's rough

  • Very early: roughly 150 creators and under $2,000 in total sales across the whole platform at the time of writing
  • The free tier rests on a small minority upgrading to Pro, a coherent model but an unproven one at this size
  • Still settling: Store Assistant is on the way, booking is only "integration ready," and the dashboard rearranges under you between visits
